Description
Silicon is a very beneficial nutrient for plants, and is found in virtually all types of soil, but not (at least so far) in hydroponic nutrient solutions. Silicon will strengthen cell walls and produce healthier, stronger plants with massive root systems and greater resistance to pests and diseases. Silicon is basic (has a high pH) and therefore can be used very effectively to raise the pH of hydroponic nutrient solutions.
Silicon plays an important role in the absorption and transport of mineral nutrients. Recent research has shown that applying Liquid Silicon to nutrient solutions produces thicker, whiter, healthier root systems and increases yields.
