Description
Athena Balance is a simple formula of potassium silicate that buffers irrigation water thanks to its specific concentrate and stabilizes at the ideal pH. Silicon also benefits plant growth, stem structure, stress reduction, water use (osmoregulation), and nutrient utilization.
Commercial growers get better results, particularly with reverse osmosis (RO) water, when they are first buffered with Athena Balance. Pure RO water has an unstable chemical structure that can trap other nutrients when added without a buffer. Athena Balance adds just enough to the water to create a more homogeneous fertilizer solution and reduce the need to adjust pH after mixing.
The formula does not contain sediment and is compatible with mechanical dosing systems (Dosatron). Athena Balance is not recommended for electronic dosing systems (Netafim).
